A large Lake District 3D map in ultra-high resolution map supplied in its own frame and ready to hang on any wall. Finished in aged Bronze.

Cast by hand in Cumbria by Mountain Castings, this is the only place this map is available and this is the only 3D map of the Lakes made using data accurate to one meter which is why so much amazing detail is captured. You can identify all the Wainwright peaks, Valleys, Passes, and Lakes, plus you can even pinpoint where your favorite Lake District pub is!

All fifteen major Lakes and Waters, as well as the Irish Sea, and the Estuaries to the south have been beautifully filled with a rich blue epoxy that has a lovely sheen to it.

The map is made using the Cold Casting technique and is given a dark patina to give it an aged appearance.

This is a large piece, measuring 56x47cm (width x height), and is totally solid and truly a joy to study.

As it has been cast in one piece it is very strong and can safely be shipped anywhere around the world. It will be very well packed to ensure it arrives in the same condition as it left me.

The back is finished with black felt.

This has been made using a process unique to Mountain Castings, by investing in the latest 3D Printing technology I've developed a technique that makes 3D maps to a level of detail unachievable using the wood or plastic vacuum forming methods used by others. I then create a mold of the printed pattern and take casts from that. You get a quality, handmade 3D map that's solid and beautiful and will outlast us all.

I make to order, so it takes at least a week for me to be ready to ship, and sometimes if I'm busy up to two weeks. I ship on a next-day service using the best Courier available (usually DPD who I've found to be the most dependable).

The finish can vary slightly due to the nature of casting. Particularly with the blue epoxy which always cures with different swirls and patterns. But if anything, that will make your map even more unique.
