This custom piece combines real terrain relief with hand-poured epoxy water, creating a striking contrast between the aged metal landscape and the glossy water area. Every ridge, valley, shoreline and contour is brought to life in physical 3D form.

Some lakes and coastlines work perfectly straight away. Others need careful consideration to make the final map look balanced and detailed. I will check your location, recommend the best size, and confirm whether the listed price applies or whether a custom quote is needed.

A Google Maps screenshot works perfectly, or you can simply send me the name of the lake, coastline, island or area you have in mind.

Standard Sizes

Choose from three standard square sizes:

15cm x 15cm
Ideal for smaller lakes, islands, compact mountain areas, reservoirs or simple coastal sections.

20cm x 20cm
A great middle size for most lakes, coastlines and more detailed landscapes.

25cm x 25cm
Best for larger areas, dramatic terrain, complex shorelines, multiple water features or a more substantial display piece.

Where the water is at the edges of the model a border or frame will be required to retain it.

Custom sizing may also be possible — please message me if you need something specific.

Colour Schemes

I currently offer three standard colour schemes:

Silver + Violet Water
A cool, modern finish with a striking violet water effect.

Bronze + Blue Water
A classic aged bronze terrain finish with rich blue epoxy water.

Copper + Black Water
A warm copper terrain finish with a darker, more dramatic water effect.

How It Works
Send your location
Send a Google Maps screenshot, place name, coordinates, or description of the area you want.
I check the area
I will look at the terrain, water shape, shoreline complexity and overall crop.
You receive a proof image
I will send you a digital preview before anything is made.
You can request changes
The crop can be adjusted until the design feels right.
Production begins after approval
Once you are happy with the proof, I create the physical map.

If the area does not work well, or you are not happy with the proof, you can cancel before production.

How It Is Made

Each map begins with accurate digital terrain data, which is used to create a detailed 3D master.

The piece is then hand cast using a cold-cast metal resin process. This combines real metal powder with resin to create a solid, weighty piece with the look and feel of aged metal.

The water area is then carefully filled with epoxy resin, creating a smooth, glossy contrast against the textured terrain.

Each piece is then hand finished, aged with patina, and polished to bring out the fine detail in the ridges, valleys and shoreline.

This is not a 3D print. The finished item is a solid cast piece, designed to be strong, durable and display-worthy.

These maps are custom-made, so the final design depends on the location chosen.

Very simple single-lake designs are usually covered by the listed prices. More complex designs may require a quote, including:
