This is a physical 3D map of K2 and the surrounding valleys. As real data is used it is an accurate, scale model of K2. It is supplied completely finished and ready to display and enjoy.

The area captured is to a scale of 151,351 - 1 and also details the Mountains of Skilbrum, Praqpa Kangri, and Broad Peak.

The map itself measures 14.5 x 14.5cm and the Frame is of high quality being solid dark wood measuring 10"x8" (25.4 x 20.3cm), this is a standard recess size should reframing be considered.

K2 sits centrally on the map, it is an imposing Mountain with steep ridges and triangular peaks and is encased in huge glacial valleys so it makes a wonderful casting. This item makes a wonderful gift for someone with an interest in K2, Mountaineering, and the Outdoors.

How it's made:
The map is made using accurate mapping data and the latest 3D mapping techniques and manufacturing techniques to allow an original pattern to be made and a mold taken from that. The maps are then cast by hand using a process known as 'Cold Casting' where resin and real metal powders are mixed to create the metal finish. The casting is given an aged patina finish and polished by hand before being professionally framed and packed.
